RSS is one of the best bits of the internet. If someone tried to invent it now, it would be an ad-filled, walled-garden disaster. Thankfully it was invented when people had greater aspirations for the internet.

Unread is my favorite reader because a) it works fine on the free tier with no restrictions, and b) the reader view (where you can get it to fetch the article text even when the feed doesn’t expose it) is effective and configurable per feed.
